System Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Provide Networking support on various platforms
• Perform daily requests and project implementation requirements
• Assist application, security and operation teams on network related tasks
• Design solutions for customer/project change request
• Daily network health check for smooth operation of network
• Perform routine network preventive maintenance adhering to operational security and operational guidelines
• Respond to faults call - isolate, rectify or bypass problem within committed service levels
• Respond to service call - Implementing/decommissioning service within committed service levels
• Maintenance of documentation - Ensure proper update of document in relation to changes in environment
• To provide 24hrs x 7 days standby support
• Provide IT operational support for test automation, integration and e-mapping systems in semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• Support requirements on engineering, design, testing , troubleshoot, implement, maintenance of new and existing manufacturing software applications
• Able to start work immediately or within short notice is an advantage.

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering or relevant disciplines.
• CCNA/CCNP certification is an advantage
• Min 2 years of relevant Networking experience and support in medium to large MNC
• environment.
• Min 2-3 years of development experiences in .net
• Working experience in IT preferably in manufacturing environment for semiconductor
• Well-versed with Microsoft Office Application (2003 & 2007)
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Technologies preferable knowledge in MS SharePoint Portal or Windows SharePoint Services
• Knowledge in C#.net/XML, SharePoint Designer ,MS SQL , Java, ASP.NET, Oracle
• Knowledge in UNIX scripting (Shell/Perl)
• Knowledge on other platform such as Unix will be an added advantage
• Experience develop and using Oracle database and SQL language
• Possesses a 'hands-on' approach towards work and good initiative, outspoken and good
• communication skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and able to work independently and as a team player in a global setup
• Hand on experience in configuring Cisco equipment such as Cisco cat6k series, cat4k series, cat35 series, Cisco Aironet in an enterprise network deployment.
• Good understanding of routing and switching technologies as well as network management systems.
• Experience with and knowledge of LAN and TCP/IP environment technologies
• To monitor, maintain & support client's network infrastructure covering LAN, WAN, VoIP &Security.
• Experienced in diagnosing network problems and maintaining network security (Checkpoint, PIX Firewall) will be added advantage.
• Proficiency in English is a MUST. Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia are added advantage
• Excellent communication (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
• Project Management skills, a good team player, customer-oriented and ability to work independently
• Resourceful with good analytical skill and ability to perform systematic troubleshooting techniques
• Able to take responsibility and ownership for mid-to-high level projects and able to multi-task across a broad range of disciplines.
• Advanced knowledge of security concepts and current threats/vulnerabilities..
• Hands-on, autonomous, self-motivated and must enjoy working within a changing and dynamic organization.
• Experience in at least 1 full SDLC
• Experience with manufacturing applications such as Workstream, Lot traveller and etc
• Manage and administrate application on Window platform
• Experience in middle ware application - Knowledge on Tibco, MQ series will be added
