Management of engineering on small to medium size projects of normal complexity in accordance with project and corporate requirements. Act as engineering consultant for mentioned project size/ complexity, irrespective of project assignment.

Job:

• To assume overall engineering responsibility for the project.
• To manage engineering for small to medium size projects of normal complexity in accordance with project and corporate requirements including engineering subcontracts, changes and interfaces;
• To establish and direct the engineering team to meet the project quality and planning;
• To maintain good team spirit and commitment to meet safety, quality and schedule requirements;
• To develop the engineering execution plan, schedule and budget and ensure adherence thereto;
• To approve all engineering output and deviations compliant to safety and quality requirements;
• To obtain design approval from Client, Certifying and Governmental Authorities;
• To align engineering with and pro-actively support the procurement and subcontracting efforts;
• To report to the Engineering Manager on general matters and to the Project Manager on project matters;
• To share workmanship/knowledge and support corporate engineering improvements;
• To act as engineering consultant for mentioned project size/complexity, irrespective of project assignment.

Requirements:

• Master/Bachelor of Science in relevant engineering discipline extended with training in relevant engineering disciplines and in management of engineering.
• Extensive engineering experience in offshore and/or oil & gas industry;
• Good knowledge of Company products, procedures and systems;
• Good knowledge of relevant engineering tools and software;
• Excellent organisational, leadership and communication skills;
• Result oriented, flexible, cooperative, pro-active, analytical and disciplined;
• Fluent in English;
• Willing to travel;
• 8 years of relevant experience in engineering including 4 years of experience in leadership roles;
• Elligible to work in Malaysia.
