Responsibilities:-

Ensure comprehensive full range products in stores to maintain appeal to the existing customers, meanwhile, attracting new ones.

Be able to identify and predict the trends so as to source for new brands & products

Launch sufficient new products every month enticing traffic to the stores.

Set up promotional Calendar (full year/ monthly), initiate marketing mechanics and effective promotion planning
-
New suppliers Initiative – proactively looking for new suppliers locally or in different countries
-
New product development – aggressively searching for new products to fill up the product gap
-
Exhibition and trade visits to ensure we have an updated competitive edge.

Oversee the KPIs of CMPD – to ensure all the targets set by company are met; Sales, GP%, GP$, inventory control (out of stock or excessive stock), productivity of each product category; SMM status – identify the SMM and implementing action plan, etc.

Explore the optimum income structure for the respective supplier – identify the sources of income and set up the standard charges for window display, end cap, paper stand etc.

Establish stable income by implementing rental charges, administrative fee, rebates, early payment discounts (starting the new suppliers)

To lead, coach and train a strong CMPD team – reinforce better planning, organizing, control and negotiation skills.

Supplier relationship management – improve the average trade margin, A&P supports, exclusive promotion campaigns etc.

Stores visit regularly – ensure the display, promotion mechanics will be carried out properly, communicate with supervisors about the individual store needs and requests, providing the solutions and resolving the problems. Understand the strength and weakness of each store by analyzing the sales data for each product category , coaching and training CMPD team while visiting stores (on the job training)

Set measurable and achievable brand targets to set focus for operation team

Work closely with operational dept an make sure the focus in the shop floor are in line with CMPD plan/target

Monitor competitor’s movement by visiting their stores regularly. Checking if any new brands or products are at the competitors stores but not existing in our stores. Price discrepancy check and implement the reactive strategies

Oversee the inventory – to ensure the optimum stock holding which are sufficient for regular promotion so as react to the market competitiveness.

SMM stock control – monitor the stock movement and implement the necessary action by clearance, price mark down, and write off to reduce the % of SMM
-
Degree/ Diploma in Business/Marketing/related field
-
Solid leadership and Managerial track record
-
Minimum 3 years working experience in Retail environment
-
Hands-on experience in operations and merchandising
-
Meticulous and independent
-
Fluent in spoken and written English (Mandarin & or Cantonese an advantage)
